I had a dream that I was with Sam and Colby exploring a haunted abandoned place. I went to find a place to relieve myself. I was picked up and thrown by an invisible force and I hit a wall so hard that I blacked out. I saw myself on the ground and I saw Sam, Colby and Jake react to the sound of me hitting the wall. They came running through the door and saw me unconscious and bleeding. Colby took off his hoodie and put it on my wound. I came to, in an ambulance, with Colby right beside me. I said, "Colby, not to alarm you but I can't move at all. i can move my eyes and my mouth. I can't move anything else. It feels like something is on top of me. I'm scared!" Colby took a cross out of his pocket and placed it on my chest. I blacked out as soon as he did. I had been possessed. Something had taken control of my body but not my eyes and mouth. Sam was up front with the driver and filming everything. I apparently was convulsing and screaming. Colby kept holding the cross on me through the whole ordeal. When I came to again, I was in the hospital, in a recovery room. There was a burn on my chest where the cross had been. I was able to move again. I was in a lot of pain. Sam, Colby and Jake were all sitting next to the window, talking amongst themselves. I said, "what happened to me? All I remember is getting picked up and thrown by an invisible force and blacking out." Sam came over and explained everything to me. Colby was unable to say much cause he was still in shock about holding the cross against me while I was convulsing. Sam also showed me the footage of what happened in the ambulance.
Your dream is rich with themes of exploration, fear, and vulnerability, and it features both supernatural and protective elements. Let's delve into its potential meanings:
Exploration and Curiosity: Being with Sam and Colby, who are known for exploring haunted and abandoned places, represents a desire for adventure and exploration. Your subconscious might be urging you to step out of your comfort zone and explore the unknown, whether it's within yourself or in the outer world.
Vulnerability and Powerlessness: The instance where you are picked up and thrown by an invisible force suggests feelings of helplessness. This could reflect situations in your waking life where you feel you're not in control, or you're being overpowered by external factors.
Self-Observation and Detachment: Seeing yourself from a third-person perspective indicates a level of detachment or an out-of-body experience. This could mean you are trying to gain perspective on your life or situation, or it might signify a sense of disconnection with your current circumstances.
Support from Friends: The presence of Sam, Colby, and Jake represents the importance of friendship and support. Despite the terror and the chaos, your friends come to your aid, illustrating your reliance on and trust in your friendships during difficult times.
Symbol of Protection: Colby placing the cross on you symbolizes protection and perhaps a deep belief in spiritual cleansing or salvation. It hones in on the idea that there are forces or beliefs you can rely on for protection during times of crisis.
Feeling Trapped and Isolated: When you mention being unable to move and experiencing something heavy on top of you, it could be symbolic of feeling trapped or overwhelmed in your waking life. This is a common dream experience often linked with stress, anxiety, or feeling burdened by responsibilities.
Pain and Recovery: Awakening in the hospital with the aftermath of your ordeal (burn on chest, pain) portrays a journey through trauma and recovery. This part of the dream might reflect personal growth processes that involve overcoming pain and healing from past wounds.
Seeking Understanding and Clarity: Asking Sam to explain what happened underscores your quest for clarity and understanding. It captures your need to comprehend the chaos and find meaning or answers after moments of bewilderment or distress.
Documentation and Reality Check: The footage Sam shows you could represent your need for evidence, validation, or a reality check when facing situations you find challenging or unbelievable.
In summary, your dream can be interpreted as an exploration of both external and internal challenges, highlighting themes of vulnerability, fear, and the importance of support systems. It encourages reflection on how you handle overwhelming situations and emphasizes the value of friendship and spiritual or emotional support in overcoming adversity.
